Ever had bad gas?

I'll just let you ponder that question for a bit. :-)

I was meaning in your vehicle. Where your car begins to sputter or even dies from the bad gas.  Where you just want to hurry it through the system so you can eliminate it and start fresh with better fuel? Our bodies tend to work in a similar way, when we don't drink enough water.

Toxins can begin to build up when we aren't taking in enough water. Why? When I don't drink enough fluids, my body senses it and begins to hold onto as much water as possible to protect the systems and organs that require that life giving water. If I'm not passing...WATER... I'm not eliminating toxins.

On the flip side, when I am consuming ENOUGH water, my body relaxes its hold on those fluids and the toxins are eliminated, your body begins eliminating those "contaminants".  If you've not been drinking enough water for period of time, when you first begin ramping back up you may find yourself "peeing" a lot more, but only at first. Your body NEEDS to get rid of all that stuff.  Then, it will all balance out and you will get back to your normal routines.

How much is enough?  Take your weight in pounds divide by 2 and that equals your needed ounces.  Today, for me that would be 75 ounces of water.  4 1/2 years ago, for me, that would have been 100 ounces.

Enjoy your water today.  Here's a toast to you! CHEERS!

If you've got the drive, we've got the Vehicle!

11 days left... Lets work on this!

Do me a favor, pay attention to prevention and reduce the need for events like these!

Well, my friend Julie & I have 11 days until the 3-day, 60 mile walk for Susan G Komen and Breast Cancer support!  We've each surpassed our $2300 minimum fund raising and are working toward our goals of $3,000 each.  I am thankful for this organization and what it has done to assist my mother in attaining care and my sister in attaining testing for Breast Cancer!

The training is almost over!  I'm working on the continuing blister problem on my heals.  Jim from church taught me how to re-lace my shoes so they fit better. Thank you, Jim.  Now they feel more secure without feeling like they are cutting off the circulation. :-)

My nutrition products arrived yesterday via UPS!  Love the men in the little brown suits.  I will be doing a lot of incline training in the next 10 days to prepare for the walk bridges over the interstates in the Tampa area, as my Achilles' heal and the fronts of my thighs have proven they would like some of this.

It is exciting to get to this point and know that the 10 months of training are about to pay off!

If you would like to assist me in reaching my $3,000 goal you may visit my fundraising site at http://the3day.org/goto/TessBrennan.

Otherwise, please pray for our safety and our bodies as we walk these 60 miles, AND PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... make 1 change this month for the healthier!  Pay attention to prevention!

According to the CDC - nearly 65% of people are over weight or obese
American Heart Association - 80% of heart disease is preventable
American Cancer Society - believes 60% of cancers are diet & lifestyle preventable
American Diabetes Association - 90% of all type 2 diabetes are reversible.

MAKE A CHANGE! Get healthier!!  If you need some assistance contact us and allow us to work with you! We want to make a difference!

Inch Loss vs Weight Loss

Best Friend, Julie & I (60 mile team mate) & her brother.
Four years ago I lost 50 pounds.  I was so excited to go from a size 14-16 down to an 8-10!

About 6 months ago I decided I would like to lose another 10 pounds, so I started the complete system once again.  The weight didn't drop as quickly this time.  I am walking 20+ miles a week as I train for my 60 mile walk, following the plan, paying attention to what I am eating, yet I wasn't dropping any weight.  Frustration was beginning to set in.

About 2 weeks ago, the weight began dropping again, very gradually... but the BIG thing was my clothes & my husband.  The pants I bought a year ago are too big and fall off without a belt. In fact, it took me 5 different pairs of jeans in my closet to find one that would not fall off. Woo HOO!!!

The other night, my hubby looked at me and said, "you're arms are skinny." Woo Hoo again!  He's noticing a difference too!  While I'm not losing tons of weight, I am pulling weight out of the trunk, the doors, the seats and all those other areas, to make my HUMAN Engine a lean mean, fat burning machine!!!

A few of the extra benefits of this plan have been:

Healthy Human Engine!
  • Better Health, fewer pharmaceuticals for me
  • Supporting Local Entrepreneurs
  • Looking GREAT in swimwear
  • Increased energy to work, work out, & still have energy to spend with our child at night
  • Cravings disappeared
  • I am a model of a healthy lifestyle for my family
  • I won $500 in the Cinch success of the month club! https://cinchclub.com/success.html
I feel blessed to be able to share this system with others.

Increasing My Human Horse Power

Just for laughs! :-)
I remember many years back when I asked my husband if I could ride along for a pass on the drag strip. (I was  near 200 pounds at the time.) His reply was that every 100 pounds in the vehicle reduced horsepower by 15.  So my being in the vehicle would have dropped the horsepower by 30 points. :-(

Today, I'm thinking about my own, personal, HUMAN horse power.  How much energy do I have? Do I have the energy left at the end of the day to enjoy the time I spend with my family, playing in the engines of our vehicles, or even to work out?

There was a time when my answer to this question was NO!  I didn't have the energy (horsepower), my joints hurt, I was just DONE!  Today, that answer is a resounding YES!

Through a solid framework of nutrition, I have reduced the weight of my chassis (lost 55 pounds), I've improved the efficiency of my power plant (increased my muscle mass), and provided the high octane fuel needed to finish the race among the top 5!

Our clients see things in a similar fashion.  If you would like to give it a try, we'd love to provide you with a check point inspection, provide you with free membership*, and work with you for 60-90 days to evaluate your Human engine's needs to customize the plan right for your needs!
