My first opportunity to purchase my OWN car came in college.  A friend of mine went to help and insisted that I buy the white '89 Taurus SHO that was on the used car lot. "It's a GREAT deal" he said! "These cars are AWESOME" he also said.  So, I bought it, AS IS.  A month later it started developing signs of vapor lock.
